In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to transform everyday items found in nature into beautiful, vibrant inks. We’ll cover the essential tools and techniques you need to create your own inks independently. Through demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll explore how to manipulate and enhance your inks using simple additive techniques.
All materials and tools will be provided during the workshop, ensuring you have everything you need to dive into the creative process. Under Leslie's expert guidance, you’ll craft your own original inks and create personal pieces of art to take home.
This workshop is designed for all skill levels—no prior experience is necessary. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, you’ll leave with newfound skills and your own unique creations.

Instructor: Leslie Muller
Leslie Muller is a seasoned artist and industrial designer with a profound passion for merging the natural world with creative expression. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, where she honed her ability to blend artistic vision with practical design.
With years of experience in both the fine arts and design industries, Leslie has developed a unique approach to art-making that emphasizes sustainability and innovation. Her work often involves the use of foraged materials, transforming natural elements into vibrant, expressive inks and pigments. Leslie’s deep understanding of materials and processes allows her to guide students in discovering the magic of creating their own artistic tools from the environment around them.
